Purchased the Gettysburg map some time back and was wondering if anyone knows of any other battlefield maps available anywhere.

<font color="yellow">Col Brewster,

I don't believe there are any (laminated maps) except for main HPS Gettysburg map. When I purchased one a couple years ago I heard sales weren't as brisk as was hoped for and there wouldn't be any new maps unless there was more interest.

Of course as soon as I post this someone might correct me and tell us there's a new one in the works, but I haven't heard of any new ones being created.

Don would have done them all, but there wasn't enough financial support to do so, hence the lack of further maps. He was going to do it for every game...oh well...

Col. Brewster:
I have stored in my modern electical babbage machine, several maps I have prepared from the Battleground series. Since joining the club, it has been my practice to translate the battleground to paper maps at different scales for strategic and tactical planning as well as a quick overview of the battleground.
While credited to Talonsoft, I am hesitant to make them readily available due to copyright issues. Perhaps Gen. Hamilton and Walker could comment on this?

Don published with the blessing of HPS, and a roayalty payment for each map sold...so yes, I think its wise to be warry of copyright infringement, especially with the history of Talonsoft / Take Two.

Posting them as free downloads shouldn't be an issue though, but of course that doesn't compensate you for your time...

General Hamilton,
Thank you for your input. As I create the maps for my use in solo and club play, I am not interested in compensation.
While I believe that true-blue Union officers would find the maps helpful in our righteous struggle to suppress the Rebellion, I have also thought of them as a club asset. I hesitate to post them either for Union or club use, for fear of treading on copyright toes. While I believe that the creation of the maps for my personal use (who knows unless I tell or some back-stabbing sneaky Rebel spy blows the whistle) is within the use parameters of copyright, I would not want to post unless reasonably certain that copyright would allow their free public use.
Also, at this time I have created so few maps, that the idea is more promising than the reality.
If anyone has real knowledge of copyright allowance, I would appreciate their feedback.
Courteously
