 Post subject: Uniforms????

Gentlemen,
I want to produce a list of uniforms worn by regiments during the civil war. I want to do all the regiments, I know this is a vast undertaking but with your help I know it can be done. Something along the lines of
35th Indiana (1st Irish Wild Geese)
Tunic = Dk Blue.
Pants = Lt Blur dk blue stripe.
Kepi = Green.
Trim = Green.
If the unit had its own flag that also.
I intend to draw up an icon which can be put into the unit bitmap file and used in the Hps/Battleground games. Like the one below.

Have you tried looking at Osprey Publishing? They have a Military History series and do cover the ACW

I do know that you can find them in Waterstones and bookshops like that.

I have a few books which will give me a good start but their is such a wealth of knowledge in this club I am sure you guy's will have loads of info. I know there are a few of us who have got loads of interesting little tit-bit's. This takes me back to painting my mimitures. Such fun.
