It is with great pride that I award the Outstanding Service Medal to Lt General Bob Breen (2nd Award) and Lt General Ed Blackburn, both of the Army of the Shenandoah. They have both been long standing Corps and Division Commanders and contributed greatly to our Club and their Army. With the recent changes in the Eastern Theater, both have gome back into the field to command brigades, putting 2 of our finest officers back on the front lines!

Thank you, gentlemen, for your outstanding and selfless service!

Huzzah!

Okay, now that we've established that someone else is buying, I can partake in this affair. I had the distinct and unusual pleasure of following both of these fellows in command. I took command of VI Corps from Lt Gen Blackburn and it was in good shape. Recently I took command of XIX Corps from Lt Gen Breen and it too was in good shape. There are no two greater gentlemen in the club and they are deserving of every honor that can be bestowed upon them because the club is held together by people like them. I lift my glass in their honor ... fill it up bartender ... I lift my glass again in their honor ... bartender! ... I lift me, hic, glass agin in ... is this a hair piece in my glass?

Good grief, I guess I must say that General Blackburn is certainly one of the finest Gentlemen in the Club and would get my vote as a most deserving individual. Ed, thanks for the great gaming the past two years my friend!

Congratulations on the well deserved awards. Just be careful not to wear those shiny things in battle - our sharpshooters like juicy targets like those! [;)]

..and I was planning to take one of those dusty old uniforms out of the trunk for that Brigade Command so that I won't make such a good target in the front line and now I got this shinny new medal on it. Oh well, better show them the profile!

Thanks.
