Gentlemen,

This is to announce the appointment of General Dave Bowman as Interim CSA Chief of the Armies, effective immediately. (This appointment has been approved by both CSA Cabinet Secretaries, per Club Rule 3.3.5.3.)

Thank you to all, especially the Confederates, for your patience while the details have been worked out. Also, my thanks to Col. Quick for his assistance in resolving some issues we were having with the telegraph system. (Next thing you know, he'll have me riding in one of those new-fangled observation balloons!)

A sub-committee of the Cabinet is diligently working on resolving some of the issues raised in the latest election. The plan is to give them some more time to complete their work before conducting an election for a permanent CSA CoA.

All the proper authorizations may not be set up for a few hours, but in the meantime please join me in a show of support for General Bowman. Drinks are on my tab.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

Congrats, and Welcome, General Bowman!

As an aside, I have shared unique connections to Dave and the previous Confederate Chief of the Army, Nick Kunz. My unique connection to Nick - we are both Washingtonians, and live about 30 miles apart - we're meeting for the first time at the Seattle Mariners game next Tueadsy, in fact!

The unique connection to Dave - we both are proud owners of a set of Dolphins - qualified in Submarines for the US Navy.

General Bowman,

Congratulation sir on your appointment to CoA. It is certainly a deserving honor and I applaud your appointment. It's funny, when I saw the post I couldn't help but think of that sub reference and when you first came into the ANV. I remember it was both striking and different which caught my attention. That's been a while hasn't it? How time flies! Well enough of my meandering, lol. Once again sir congratulations!
