Larry - luck, blessings and prayers for your procedure and it's outcome - I don't envy you on this one bit!

I can tell you one thing, and it's a definite success story - your procedures have cured the pain in my backside by keeping you tied up!

I know, terrible Union General kicking a poor Reb when he's down! You bet I do! Stonewall Jackson woulda, too![:D]

Good luck, Larry!

Good luck Larry...not the best way to get off work. Certainly hope that your specialists can give you relief.

<br />Tomorrow afternoon, I will be undergoing a second surgical procedure on my thoracic spine (mid-back) to help relieve some of the chronic pain I have been suffering for the last 38 years. Please note, this is not the same thing as surgery. It is an in and out procedure.

The last time they performed four nerve blocks by inserting needles into the side of the spinal column and into the nerve roots where the nerves bundles exit the spinal column. They then injected a Novocain type substance to deaden the nerve bundle. It only gave me minimal relief.

This time they will be inserting the needles directly into the area between the thoracic bones where the discs are located.

My neurosurgeon has told me that less than 1% of the world has this type of problem. And I have been asked to stop all pain medication for two weeks. Ouch!

This is in addition to the herniated disc in my neck which is pinching the nerve running down my left arm and the partially herniated disc I have in my lower back: a triple whammy. Those who have met me in person have and inkling of what I have been going through.

I have been doing my best to keep an eye on things and responding to those items needing immediate attention. I apologize if the more routine items have only seen me here or there.

Wish me luck.

Notso

P.S. It sure would be nice if my best friend in the world, Gen. Moose, was here to give me some moral support. I am not sure if I will ever be able to pry him away from his new love, Lady Dana. That spoiled, no good, flea bag. LOL

I hope everything goes well and you are back on your feet in next to no time.

After all we need you to get Gen. Moose back under control....I hear that there are a lot of nervous cattle in Lady Dana's neck of the woods at the moment. Typical of him...your getting a back procedure and he's trying his best to put himself in hospital with a S.T.D.....[:D]

Wishing you all the best for a successful operation and a speedy recovery. Good luck, Larry.

Good luck. My wife has had back micro-surgery for a ruptured disk, L4/L5. Not the same thing, exactly, but the same basic pain and incapacity.

Best of Luck Larry... I will add you to my prayer list. We will be waiting on word...keep us inform.

It will be hard, but we will manage to go forward without you here to help us.

Col. Notso,

You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

And I'm sure you will be receiving only the best of care ... I just saw Miss Lulu in a nurse uniform. (Yes, I had to do a double-take. At first glance, I thought she was wearing a wall tent [:D] !) She said she was going to the hospital to provide special care for someone she was very close to ...

Your humble servant,
