Gentlemen. I have to make this hard announcement. I was just informed that our dear friend Bill Brockman died a couple of hours ago. I am speechless at this point. Staring at the screen with wet eyes late night hour. I was fearing that such an end was approaching. Bill had many health problems. Last year was particularly unpleasant for him. He was suffering constant pain due to several complications. Knowing this, the message shocked me. It just feels so empty. Bill was a very close friend of mine. We never met physically but shared many things as father and son. Bill was a great guy; a caring dad; and a loving husband. I wish I met him years earlier. My deepest sympathies to his wife Betty, his children Bill and Lisa and grandfather Bill.

Good bye Bill. Rest in peace. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

<font face="Book Antiqua"><font size="4"><font color="limegreen">Gentlemen!

Bill first attempted to join the ACWGC back in December 2003 but resigned the following month before completing VMI. I first met Bill a year ago in September as he rejoined the ACWGC. I was his trainer and we became friends. Bill was a very kind and gentle soul, always helpful and quick with a kind word. We had been engaged in a couple of maneuver battles to increase our skill in ACW gaming.

Bill was very active in the Panzer Club and he had recently joined me in a M/P panzer battle, sharing his vast experience and knowledge in that arena. As with so many of our comrades here in this Club, we never had a chance to meet, yet we form bonds because of our love of history. I will miss Bill, as I have missed all whom I have met and who later leave this great forum.

Bill, you will be missed my Friend!

Never had the pleasure of playing or meeting Bill, know him only from his posts at the PzC Club. I know he will be missed there as he was very active in that club.

Truly a sad day for any Club Bill was a part of. He was a great man, always fun to play and chat with.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bill's family.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Bill either, but I read the posts about him at Panzer Club and it brought a tear to my eyes. It's very sad to lose a member of our group. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I only ever communicated with Bill via email we never had the opportunity to battle against each other but conversations with him were always interesting and helpful, he will be sorely missed by us all. My condolences go out to his wife and family.
