Hey all,

I have Vista Home Premium as my OS and want to change a file extension. I have tried to do this by renaming the file but it will not switch file types. I can rename it all day long but it stays the same as when I started. In XP I could do this surely there's a way to do this in Vista as well?

Ok, for those who may be interested.......

You have to go into folder options and un-check the box "hide extensions for known file types." Once you do that you're able to change an extension.
