Post subject: | Questions on Chickamauga |
Hi folks ... I'm considering buying the Chickamauga game but have a few questions. 1) Is it a good game compared to the other titles? 2) Does the campaign game include short, smaller scenarios or is is mostly monster battles with lots of units. Thanks, C. |

I like it, because it has four of the major battles in the west; Perryville, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga and Chattanooga. There are a number of campaigns, including one that includes all small battles, but I don't know if the results of any of the battles affect the others. MG Mike Mihalik 1/III/AoMiss/CSA |

1) Is it a good game compared to the other titles? I certainly like it, but then again I was a playtester for it. I'd stack it up against Shiloh and Ozark which are probably my two favorite HPS games. Certainly I find it far superior to Campaign Franklin. I am biased in favor of games that feature the Army of the Cumberland though (that's my affiliation in the club) so you'll want another opinion...[:p] 2) Does the campaign game include short, smaller scenarios or is is mostly monster battles with lots of units. It has lots of both... I've really enjoyed it - lots of variety in terms of types and situations for the battles... General Jeff Laub Union Chief of the Army ACWGC Cabinet Member http://www.geocities.com/laubster22/UnionHQ/ |

I think it is one of the best. Plenty to choose from - full sized army battles down to 6-12 turn miniature fights taken from the larger battles that feature only a couple of brigades per side - not very time consuming at all if you like short ones. I only recommend Campaign Gettysburg over this one only because most have it and there are some very nice add ons and downloads for Gettyburg. The shear size is one of the reasons along with all of the battles available!
