Officers of the club,

We have had time for public discussion and debate on the motion on revising the club rule regarding games. The Cabinet has listened to your comments and revised the motion as follows:

"These games are currently the Talonsoft/Matrix Games and HPS Simulations American Civil War games designed by John Tiller, as well as the game Forge of Freedom (FoF), by Matrix Games, and American Civil War: The Blue & the Gray (AACW), by AGEod."

It is time now to vote on the proposed rule change. To vote, send your vote from your official club email address (as listed in the Department of Records) to all three of the following Election Committee Members:

David Mallory - dwmallo01(at)yahoo(dot)com
Mark Nelms - nelmsm(at)amaonline(dot)com
Bob Weir - ra_weir(at)comcast(dot)net

(If you can't interpret the above, just get our addresses from the Department of Records, under Reports. Mark can be found in the USA Roster; Bob and I in the CSA Roster.)

If you are in favor of the motion as it now reads, vote 'Yes'. If you are against the motion, vote 'No'.

To be sure we can find your ballot among all the junk mail we receive ([:)]), please put the following in your subject line:

<b>"ACWGC - Proposed Rule Change, Games - Ballot"</b>

Also, to make it easier on us to verify you have sent your ballot to all three of us, include all three of us in the same ballot -- please don't send it to the three of us individually.

Today is Wednesday, February 20. Votes will be accepted for the next two weeks, through Wednesday, March 5. If you have any questions, please send them to all three of the Election Committee members listed above.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

Gentlemen,

The election committee held up announcing the results, allowing for any ballots that might have been held up 'in the mail' to come in. Then yours truly got tied up with RL issues ... :-(

Anyway, the ballots have been counted and on a vote of 13 (for) - 5 (against) - 1 (unresolved issue), the motion is PASSED by the club.

Many of the concerns expressed during the discussion phase were from the training academies of the two sides. I hope and expect those who have played these games and were in favor of adding them to the line-up of accepted games will step up and volunteer to serve as instructors.

I will have the Club rules site updated as soon as possible. In the meantime, you may begin playing these games and registering them as club battles, just as you have the Battleground and HPS Campaign games.

Thank you for your patience.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory
