American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

Does this happen to anyone else? I have had this for a week or more now. The boards work quite fine in every other way, but actually adding a new post takes a minute or so.

I have had repeated "time outs." [xx(]

I found that after pressing the "Post New Reply" button, that if I access the internet with a new window and come back to the forum site, that it will process the new post in seconds, rather than waiting minutes to get a time out message. [:p]

I'm having the same issue, but only on this Club board. My CCC and PzCC is quick as ever...

I've had it for a while now. What I've found is the actual post is done quickly, so if you either close the window and come back to the site or try navigating away after a few seconds and take a look, your post is there. Which is the same thing Ross said! [:p]

Well, is this something that can be fixed? Only the ACWGC board has it, so it seems it's not something inevitable.

Of course. But still annoying and not the way it's supposed to work.

Posting without such workarounds worked well for nearly eight years and it works well with the NWC and CCC boards ... it should be possible to make it work again with this. No?

I did not see the orignal post so I did not realize there was a continual problem. I think the main problem is that the database is twice as large as it nearest competitor the NWC. At the beginning of every month I will diligently archive all of the forums.

Please note that once you are logged in the foder icon with an 'A' gives you access to the archives.
