Post subject:  Suggestion for future Antietam patch

So far I am enjoying the new changes to the turn based system to have the melee phase segregated, but there is only one problem - the LOS does not update when moving from move/fire to melee as it has always done with previous titles - is this something that was done intentionally? Something that can be "fixed" in a future patch?

Thanks for a very good and enjoyable game, Rich! Several of my favourite ACW battles are included in this one (Chantilly, for instance).

I have noticed one oddity though, which I would like to mention. When the AI captures and spikes one of my batteries/sections, and he no longer holds the hex where the gun(s) are, the cannos disappear during the AI turn, and then reappears during my turn. Strange indeed.

One comment on the South Mountain map. At Fox's Gap the Wise house and field is not depicted. That is a bit strange I think, as it was where Reno was killed, and a land mark during the battle. Just had to mention it [;)]

I think we have identified this and it's been fixed, not sure when a patch will be release.

Save me a little map work, which hex number should the Wise house be located.

The Wise Farm must probably be located at hex 154,38, with the field in front of it. A photo of the farm shows rail fences around the field, and to the north was an open pasture, bordered on the west and south by a stone wall. The main Confederate position was near the edge of the woods to the left of the Wise pasture, behind the stone fence on the east side of Ridge Road and along the Old Sharpsburg Road as it descends to the west..

Here is a screenshot from BG:Antietam. The Wise farm is just at the intersection of some roads at Fox's Gap. But I don't know how accurate this map is. Good sources are Priest's Before Antietam, and Luvaas & Nelson The Battle of Antietam.
