American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

It was a cool crisp morning at VMI, as the Armies of the CSA arrived. Brig. General John Newton and the VMI staff welcome all the Army Commanders. Some traveled great distance to be present for the Command Change Ceremony.

Gen. Nick Kunz, Eastern Theatre Commander was out in front of the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of Georgia to the right hand side of the stage. There was Gen. Ed Stewart and Gen. Paul Smith with their newly clean uniforms. Somehow, Gen. Moose was standing at the rear of the ranks prancing back and forth.

In the center was the VMI Cadets, with Gen. John Newton out front with his staff.

To the left of the stage was Gen. Scott Ludwig, Western Theatre Commander, who was also out in front of the Army of Alabama and the Army of Mississippi. Gen. Jon Cuneo and Gen. Tony Malone was able to be present and they were wearing new uniforms made by the Sweet Ladies of Alabama and Mississippi.

Each Army had brand new Flags flying in the breeze to honor this event. The men of all the Armies were cleaned shaved and well dress for this moment in history.

The CSA Army Band started playing, “The Bonnie Blueâ€

We're firing our 21 guns to the south in honor of the festivities![:D]

Please allow me to say Suh, that I and my staff at the Eastern Theatre Command stand ready and serve at your pleasure.

With such unity and filled with a sense of pride for Duty, Honour and Country, the armies of the Confederate States of America will march out to face our enemies on the field of honour.

May Divine Providence grants us victories over our enemies!
