Served at: Camp Lejeune, NC, NAS Pensacola, MCAS Kaneohe (24th MAW, 1st Marine Brgade)MCAS(H) Tustin, Ca, MCDEC Quantico, Va, MCAS Beaufort, SC

Presently serving as a officer in the Virginia Defense Force ( Organized State militia- we back up the National Guard )

Have been a member since July of 2000.

As a side note, my unit has traced it's lineage back to the Chatham Grays of the 53rd Virginia Infantry, which was part of Pickett's Division and was surrendered at Appomattox.

This unit has 3 Campaign and 13 Battle streamers earned during the War Between the States and 4 Virginia Service streamers earned during WWII and recently for supporting the Activaiton of the 246th FA and 429th Service Support Brigade for Operation Enduring Freedom and for Hurricane Katrina/Rita relief.

Not bad for an old Marine.

Just noticed something... I have the most time in service of all Marines so far..

Semper Fi!!!!!
To all my Brothers in the Corps. To the young Marine at Lejeune, may you have smooth sailing and the wind behind your back. I wish you a great career no matter how long it is. Treasure your time, because you are making memories that will last you a lifetime.

And to all you who served, especially those of you that have seen "the elephant" thank you for your service. Let's not forget those of our fellow brothers in arms of all wars, that did not come back but are "still on duty" and thank them for their sacrifices this Monday. Remember to raise your glass and give those heroes a well deserved toast.

God Bless the President, the Armed Forces, and our heores and above all else, God Bless the United States of America.

Here's to the Confederacy!

Well it's good to see that all of the branches of service are here, Club Med - Air Force, Uncle Sam's Misguided Children - Marines, Bubbleheads - Submariners, Ground Pounders - Army, but I think I'm the lone ranger only Seabee in the group [8D]

Respectfully,

Rich, when were you in Pearl?

I was on the USS Bremerton (SSN-698) in Pearl from 91-95. We played against the Leftwich in sports all the time - soccer, softball, flag football, basketball....
