Gentilemen,

This will push up the Army numbers a bit.

I'm still on active duty with the US Army with 26.5 years and counting.

Your humble servant,

Since the Marines are a branch of the Navy, our little helpers, shouldn't those numbers be added to the Navy numbers?

I was in the Navy from 1966 to 1970, four years.
I was at sea for over three years. I was on a ship for one day.

I was in the Royal New Zealand Navy for 22.5 years and I had a great time a public expense[;)]. Please note that the navy is, and will always be, the senior service. So if it comes to a split count then navy wins[:D].

U.S. Army for 21 years and have worked for/supported them as a civilian for another 15 years. Vietnam for 1 year and 3 days (yes, the 3 days counted in my mind).

In life there are three kinds of people - those in the navy, those who want to be in the navy and then there is those with no ambition.[:D]

US Navy from 1964 to 1968. Stationed aboard the USS Willard Keith (DD775) at Norfolk and the USS Barton (DD772) at Philadelphia. Four of the best years of my life, other than the 42 I've spent with my wife Rosanna and the 21-33 with four daughters.
