Wow, small world...I was there '91 - '95 as well, but I was a snipe (Gas Turbine Tech) so was kept pretty busy...and the time I wasn't working was spent as far away from the ship as I could get. [:p] My EAOS was May 8th, 1995. We probably walked / drove past each other many times...often times I stayed in the rental rooms over on the sub-side as living on the ship was a drag.

As a side note my daughter was just born this month, May 9th...I was really hoping for the 8th. [:D]

I left the islands on May 24th, 1995. Guaranteed we had to have shared a small boat to Ford Island or stood in line at McD's!

Loved having a barracks room with being on a sub. Could'nt imagine having to live onboard full time like that. When I've had to be on ships in my Reserve duty (most recently this spring on USS Blue Ridge) that drove me nuts...

You'll have to let me know what the local hang outs for you were. Spent plenty of time at Moose's and The Wave in Waikiki.

Was last in Pearl in 2005 - it's changed alot since we were there...

Congrats on your daughter! Fudge the birth certificate, nobody will know! [:D]

Does anyone ever use Google Earth, or Yahoo Maps to look st the places we were at so long ago? They sure do change a lot over time.

I think we need a recount, there being a bias on the side of the Army[:D]. Must of gone to school in Florida and learned how to count votes there. 1 Navy 2 Army, 1 Navy 3 Army.....etc [:p]. You need to add the USMC into the Navy column since they are a part of the Navy [:0], but don't tell them that [;)]

Wait a minute here[;)]. You only want to claim the Marines when you need them. Any other time their like the red headed step child in the corner[:0]. As long as their quiet their OK[8]. Give me a real good solid reason why they should be added to your numbers. I would like to hear what the Marines say about it?[^][V] I failed math[:o)][xx(]

The quickest way to start a bar fight is to tell a Marine he's part of the Navy. The truth is the Navy is nothing more than the Marine Corps taxi service. They get us there and we do the rest.[:D]
