I am working on a gathering of Gaming Club Members from Washington State. Jeff Laub and I started it last year with a meeting at a Mariner's Baseball game. So I am trying to do the same thing again this year. So if you are from the Great Evergreen State or our fellow members from either Beautiful British Columbia or the Beaver State of Oregon then let me know if you would be interested in attending a ball game together! I am looking at either a Saturday or Sunday game on the 9th or 10th of August.

So far my list includes the following:

Nick Kunz
Jeff Laub

Are you bringing laptops so you can do a multi-player, wi-fi, on-line game during the 7th ining stretch? [:D]

Im a St. Louis Cardinal fan. Born and bred. But I'll watch pro baseball anytime, anywhere. I'm taking my son to his first game. He's from Washington.

I'm going back home to St. Louis next summer to catch a week of Cardinal games.

Chris,

Even though I live up "here" in Seattle area now, I grew up loving the Cardinals (grew up in northern Utah, so no real "home" team). I'm youngish, so it was the Keith Hernandez, Bruce Sutter, Willie Magee, Jack Clark, Andy Van Slyke, Tommy Herr, Ken Oberkfell, Joaquin Andujar, John Tudor, Cesar Cedeno, Vince Coleman (I could go on and on!) era Cardinals.

I've seen one game at the "old" Busch stadium, back in 1998 versus the Cubbies, the year Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire were making history with their home run chase. Neither homered, but seeing a Cubs Cards rivalry game was awesome!

Gents!

Tom & Siri Moore arrived at our residents this morining about 10:45am. After a brief intoduction we headed down to the Sounder Train stop in Mukilteo to board the train to Seattle. Arriving at the King Street Station we got off the train and walked the 2 blocks to Safeco field.

We had some pretty nice seats on the third base side and of course the field was beautiful. Too bad the Mariners weren't up to anything but their typical style of baseball this year. They lost 11-3 against a very good Tampa Bay team.

I & my wife Kang wish to thank Tom and Siri for a very enjoyable day spent getting to know one another and of course Tom and I got to talk shop on the Gaming Club and wargaming in general. We only wish some of the others from the State could have joined us. Planning to do this again next year!

I was very sorry to miss this year - terrible Mariners or not! Looking forward to the next chance, it's good to have a decent knot of folks in this area...
