| Post subject: | Installing games with Vista |
I have bought a new computer and had to reinstall my HPS games on this machine. Most of them installed without a problem but some of my games didn't seem to install properly. When I insert the CD in the computer I see the install exe program and I select this option. Then nothing seems to happen. With some of the other games which do install I get messages that certain files weren't installed correctly (something with couldn't find in a table...). The games seem to work fine though. Are there more who experienced these problems ? Is there a way to solve this ? Thanks for you help in advance. Marco Rietveld |

The games seem to be working fine again. The only exeptions are Chickamauga, French and Indian war and Gettysburg. These games simply don't want to install. When inserting the disk it shows the setup exe but when I click it nothing happens. I have looked in the registry and there seem to be entries for these games. Perhaps I can remove these entries manually but the registry is a place I don't want to mess things up. Perhaps someone has an advice to solve this problem. Marco |
