Officers of the Club,
Every election in the club is important, in one way or another, but we have one looming that could be among the most important this club has ever seen. My two-year term as Club President is about to conclude.
General Pierre Desruisseaux served as the Club President for many years. We finally allowed him to have a break and step down, by implementing rule changes limiting the term of a Club President to two years and only allowing the President to succeed himself once.
With this in mind, I have appointed a three-man election committee to conduct the upcoming election. They actually have two tasks: to conduct a club-wide election on a rule change and to conduct the election of a Club President. It will be up to them to decide how to perform these, following the guidelines in the Club Rules.
The committee is composed of Bob Weir, Ernie Sands, and Jeff Laub. They will organize the two elections and make their own posts.
Please give them your full support as they go about this task.
