Post subject:  RESULTS - Elections for Club President
Gentlemen of the Club!

It is time to hold the SECOND ever election for Club President, as the term of our current President, General DW Mallory, expires on November 1st, 2008. To that end, the following is the schedule for proceedings related to the election:

Nomination period opens at 12:01am EDT (the time stamp of the Club message boards) Sunday, September 21st and will run for 1 week, ending Saturday, September 27th at Midnight.

Campaigning will run for 1 week immediately following, ending at Midnight on Saturday, October 4th.

Finally, the voting will open at 12:01am Sunday, October 5th, and run for TWO weeks, ending at midnight on Saturday, October 18th.

This schedule will ensure a timely turnover(IF necessary, as General Mallory is eligible to run for a second term if he chooses) between Presidents prior to the November 1st start of the new term.

Further posts related to the specifics of nomination, campaigning, and voting will be provided. In the mean time, the Club Rules governing this event can be found in section 3.3.

Gentlemen,

As provisioned in the Club Rules (see below), General DW Mallory is hereby elected to his second term as Club President as the only person to be nominated for the position.

3.3.4.1.7 In the event only one candidate has been nominated by the end of the nominating period, that candidate will be elected by acclimation and no vote will be necessary.
