Post subject: Change of Command - Army of Alabama CSA

It saddens me, when I lose one of my top Commanders. At the request of Gen. Jon Cuneo, I have with the help of my staff, chosen an outstanding leader from the ranks of the Army of Alabama to continue on with the leadership that Gen. Cuneo has mastered for so many years.

I have chosen, Lt. General John Dragan from a state north of the broader (Ohio) to take on the command duties for the Army of Alabama, General Dragan has served many years with the CSA and was the former Commander of the III Corps (Banshee Corp). I am looking forward to Great Things from Gen. Dragan as well as the Army of Alabama.

Please welcome Lt. General Dragan to his new position. I am sure that there will be a grand official Change of Command Ceremony in the upcoming days. I really like this, when we get to fire all those guns towards D. C.

"Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can may revolutionize and make their own of so many of the territory as they inhabit."

A Salute to General Jon Cuneo for the work he has done for this club, holding several CSA command posts over the years, he took the reins of AoA in 2005 when Gen Jeff Gray retired, taking what was already an excellent army web site and making it even better, during his tenure as AC the Army of Alabama had no equal in the CSA.
I spent 5 of my almost 6 years in the club as a member of the AoA and worked with him a short time as CoS, Jon you will be sorely missed and I wish you all the best.

Lt. Gen. Dragan, Congratulations Suh!

The great Army of Alabama is in good hands and with your direction will continue to shine!

John has been a wonderful commander for the great and mighty AoA, crown jewel of the Confederacy. He kept a great army active and maintained a wonderful website (don't forget the battlefield photos - lots of good stuff there!). I wish him all the best.

No doubt Gen. Dragan will do a great job in his new role. Ohioans are basically Southerners anyway. [;)]
