Gentlemen,

It's my pleasure to announce the promotion of two Officer's in the the General Ranks within the Fourth "Cavalry" Corps! Of course, these promotions had already been announced by Lt General Ludwig... back on July 19th but it took awhile for the dispatch rider to find our Headquarters and deliver the news. Who knows when the Paymaster will show up? [;)]

Boys, go fetch Brig. General Kenney and Col Bonferroni!

ATTENTION TO ORDERS!

Major General Paul Kenney

Image

Sir, it is a pleasure to confer the rank of Major General on you! You are one of my most active, knowledgeable and faithful Division Cmdrs that I have. (I actually like them all... but Paul bathes a bit more often than some of them!) You've led us to two Victories in our Atlanta Campaign and you've continued to add victory after victory against our Union foes. You and the rest of your Widowmaker Division set a very high standard and I'm proud to have you in our Corps! <salute>

Brig. General Carlo Bonferroni

Image

Sir, it is a pleasure to confer the rank of Brigadier General on you! Welcome to the General Ranks... you are definitely a worthy Officer. It's been a great pleasure to have you join us from II Corps, AotM and I have never once been disappointed in your service to your Division and to this Corps! I look forward to getting to know you better and serving alongside of you as we beat our Yankee foes into submission. <salute>

Warmest Regards,

Sir, it is a pleasure to confer the rank of Lt Colonel on you! Why Sir at the rate that you are advancing through the ranks... you'll soon be back to the old rank you held in the Union Army. But yes... I do realize they hand out rank over there in the Union like candy! So you are really earning it this time! LOL! <salute>

Needs more than that even. President can just nominate, the confirmation has to come from congress.

General Walter,

You know... now that you mention it! There's something fishy going on here. The Confederate Congress is currently on it's summer recess...

Hmmmm... I think I had better take a look into this a little closer. [;)]

Gentlemen,

I also found something else in this pouch from HQ's. It appears that General Bob Weir and his boys from the CSA Metal Works & Foundry have sent me a set of the Ribbon's that will be awarded in the AotM's "King of the Hill" Tournament. Let me give you a preview of them.

All participants will be awarded one Ribbon for their participation. Which ribbon you receive will be determined by how far you advance in the Tournament.

Many, many thanks to General Bob Weir for his time and efforts! He really puts the spit and polish on the outstanding set of awards that we have here on the Confederate side of the Club! Thank you, Sir! <salute>

Congrats to these fine officers! Roger, do all these shiny medals come in a lightweight plastic? We don't want to have any of our officers drowning if they cross a river in dress uniform!
