Wondering about the compatibility of the two versions. What was the latest version of TS Antietam? I have patch 1.12 will that work with the Matrix version. Running Vista. Have not used them in years.

Your version is the 16 bit, you need to upgrade to the 32 bit. You can find the info for this at the VMI website, goto Classrooms, class 101. The new matrix versions are already at 32 bit so are compatible to the old TalonSoft versions.

Thank you that was what I was looking for. Used your 16bit then installed the 32. However I am getting a scenario load error. I was wondering if there is another step. I remember that you had to install the patches in a certain order to get it to work. I started with a fresh install, installed 1.12 than the 32 bit. Did I have to install previous patches before 1.12 or is it cumulative?

I believe you have to install the scenario editor off John's site as well, as it includes some supporting files. Been years since I messed with it though...

By chance I decided to try it on another computer and it worked. Will try and troubleshoot main PC.

If you have the Matrix versions you can alternately just place whichever BG map folders into the BGC folder and use that scenario editor. If you do download the editor from John's site, you have to have the disc's handy whenever you want to edit something, which isn't so if you use the BGC editor included with the Matrix versions.

Another option with the Matrix version would be to copy the editor files from Chickamauga (4 files I believe) to each of the other titles.

Pierre, did you manage to get your TS versions to work on VISTA in the end?

I have two Vista computers. It works on the second one but not on my primary one. I stopped trying to figure out why after that. I finally remembered this happened with some other games as well so I gave it a try.

Installed the game and updates and 32 bit and it worked right off the bat.

I chalk it up to a combination of Vista/Hardware/software issues. The 2nd computer is a different configuration.
