For those of you that use the color units.bmp files posted on my site I have just added sets for HPS Chancellorsville, you'll find them at

http://home.comcast.net/~krmiller_cor/

Also for those of you who like Rolf Hall's 3D graphics in my study of the oob files it appears to me Rolf's Shiloh version (Set D) will work with Chancellorsville. You can find them at Brett's site at

http://www.brettschulte.net/ACWCGDC/index.html

I had a bit of a head start on creating the unit.bmp files for this one having been part of the playtesting team.

I'm confused about your graphics. When I go to a site like the "Antietam Graphics" there are three sets there. Why three, when they are all named 'units.bmp' ???

When I unzip them in the appropriate folder it of course asks if I want to over write them.

I have pasted together three different units.bmp files using two sets of graphics that were originally made for the old BG games and a third using pictures from re-enactments that was sent to me by Den McBride. Some people like one particular file, others use one set in one game and a different one in another for a little variety.

The zipfiles have different names so you can download all three but the actual file has to be called units.bmp since that is what the program is looking for to display the pictures. There can only be one such file in the Info folder of each game.

Ken,

If you'll e-mail me the version you've done for Chancellorsville using my content I'll gladly customize it a bit further. I think I refined my approach and gathered a whole lot more pics since the original units.bmps I did.

The reason I'd ask that you e-mail them is that it'd help if you could point out any ambiguous or irregular units (e.g. used by both sides). I'll send the revised product mack to you for positing.

Den

Den McBride has sent me a newer version of the units.bmp put together by him. This one has additional re-enactment photos replacing the graphics used in some of the pictures in his original file including a couple of nice looking wagons and some new artillery photos. I've updated my site with this new version for Chancellorsville, it's the third set of the Chancellorsville files. If you want to take a glimpse at it click on the link below, it pretty large and may take a while to load.

Hey Ken,

Thanks for posting this. I think the one you've got linked here is actually not the newest-newest one I sent along. There were still a couple of images that I wasn't thrilled with... e.g. I don't think this one has the newest arty photos.

If you need that one again just let me know.

Hi Den! I really love your updated unit graphics [:)] Have you made any updates for the other games in the series as well? That would have been sweet... [8D]

Den,

You're right somehow I got them switched around. I'll upload the other one when I get the chance.

Gen Jenssen,

I've been using Den's reenactment pictures to make the third set of units pictures at my site since he sent the first set to me. If he doesn't update them with the newer pictures I may fix them up when I get some time, maybe when I retire in 5 or 6 years.
