Gen McOmish

For you rebs we've modified the words from the song a little bit;

"You can check in anytime you like, but you can never leave"

In other words, you really probably don't want to find the place.

Hello Gen. McOmish,
It's that little square building hidden over in that clump of trees, it's about three foot square with a half moon shape window cut in the door for ventilation. It's got flies, bees and such flying around it, and smells something awful. [:D]

Respectfully,

Thanks General Bastiani thats why I had trouble finding it. We should do the AoS a favour by putting a round of canister though it so they can claim the insurance and build an establishment more befitting a southern gent.

I am putting togeather a tavern raiding party this weekend - feel like some free drinks and fun at the yanks expense - you in[?][?][:p][:p]

It sounds to me, General Thompson, that those Rebs are intimately familiar with those rooms.

Actually the Winchester Arms is now a restricted tavern for confidential AoS meetings and such. This was done when Gen Corbin closed down the old Winchester at the acwgc.org site last year when it looked for a while like that site was going to disappear. That problem has since been addressed and the acwgc.org site will remain in business although it is currently experiencing a problem with a Denial of Service attack having been launched against the forum section of it.

In any case the AoS uses the M&D for all posts for general consumption using the Winchester for private meetings, musters and commenting on the geneaology and upbringing of our opponents.[:D]

Perhaps Brig Gen Gam McOmish did indeed decide to "put a round of canister" through it!

From what I hear....they couldn't hit the ground with their hat in three tries...so...I think our establishment is safe from any Reb canister rounds.

General McOmish, Sir <Salute!>

Sir, pardon the interruption, but the results of the ale analyses from the samples you have been collecting have just come back from the London laboratory. I have the envelope here. These results show:

Miss Clarissa’s – medium light, alcohol content 6%, very nice
The Clump of Trees Mess – dark ale, alcohol content 6.5%, well done
The Pine Mountain Inn – stout ale, alcohol content 6.7%, powerful
Rosie’s Tavern – alcohol content 3%, near beer
The Winchester Arms – this horse has diabetes [:p]
