Post subject:  Yellow Unit Ratings - what does it mean?

On some occasions morale and fatigue ratings of units appear in yellow instead of white. What does this mean?

Here's a straight answer . . .

"If the strength value is displayed in Yellow, it indicates that the unit is at less than full strength. If the Quality level is displayed in Yellow, it indicates that the unit's morale is reduced for some reason such as fatigue or ammo level."

Lt. Gandt,

The color of a units fatigue indicates it's FA level
Green - Low
Yellow - Medium
Brown - High
These affect such things as Morale, Melee strength, check the Help file under Fatigue.

If a units Strength number and % are in yellow that indicates it is not at full strength as shown in the OOB.

I believe if a unit's Morale rating is Yellow that indicates the unit has some type of negative modifier to it's morale, it may be D'd, have Medium/High Fatigue, be out of ammo etc. Some of these can be overcome by the presence of an officer so if a unit is D'd it's Morale will be yellow, if you move an officer into the hex it becomes white because the officer's +1 modifier negate the -1 from being D'd.

Lastly an officer who's Command number is in Yellow indicates he failed his Command Check this turn.
