Here is something irrelevant that has been bugging me.

Is it just me or does our banner above that contains the portraits of Generals cascading down asymmetric? It appears to me that the CSA side descends from Lee linearly while the USA side starting from Meade descends with an arc. Look at the second portraits; Jackson is closer to the CSA flag than Reynolds is to the USA flag. Anyone know why this is?

Both bottom portraits are 3/4 of an inch from their respective flags on my laptop monitor. They are BOTH 23/32 of an inch on my desktop 24" monitor.[:D][:0]

Do my eyes decieve me? The CSA flag looks bigger than the USA flag! How did you measure them, with a good old ruler, or is there a computerized way? [8D]

Along with facing the opposite direction Gibbon is also barefoot and out of step with the rest of the Union generals.

Does this mean that Gibbon has been dead and replaced with a look alike for the duration of the War? [:D]

Gery, I'm already wearing glasses! Time for a new prescription.

Well, both flags are 1" by 9/16" or 100 pixels to 55 pixels.

I find any apparent un-equalness in the layout of the graphics of little importance. What I find much more upsetting and needing attention is the gross disparity of the officers facial hair. I mean...some of the Union Generals aren't even sporting sideburns for goodness sake whilst Longstreet, that dog Stuart and the other bloke (is it Gregg?) look like their beards support sizeable self-contained eco-systems...

The obvious answer is that the Confederate Generals were UGLY and needed the facial hair to make gross ugliness.

Union Generals, were handsome devils and had little need for disguise.[:D]

The bottom guy on the left looks like one the band members from Z Z TOP (before they were famous). The picture doesn't show that the beard really goes to his knees...

The reason that the Union Officers don't have beards, is because they haven't reached PUBERTY yet [:D]

There has always been a CSA dominance of the Club, better leadesrhip, organization and interest, therefore any slight to the Union side is purely intended. :-)
