Gentlemen,

I guess I'm right there along with Major General Hooper... a ground pounder again! This weekend I had to shoot my horse (computer) as it was just too old to be of much use anymore.

But thank goodness... that only lasted a couple days and I've got myself a new mount. Sorry for the slowness the past couple days but I should be caught up shortly.

Sir, my compliments! I've heard tell that us Cajuns don't talk to good in the best of circumstances, let alone if refreshments are provided [:D]

As for Nicodemus, his saving grace is that he doesn't have that far to fall [xx(]

Congrats on your new mount General Hulinsky. I am still trying to persuade General McOmish's sister...um...nevermind...I can never be sure when my commanding officer may check out these posts. LOL

I am glad that you were having horse trouble, and didn't quit our game. I was enjoying shooting my arty. at your tattermuffins. =)

Sir, here to cash in on your drink discounts? [:D]

If I might be so bold, what the heck is a tattermuffin? The possibilities are endless if left to the imagination.

the term originated from the Revolutionary War, about sticking tar on the heels of the North Carolinian so they'd stick and fight the Brits. Now its the name that refers to UNC Chapel Hill. Most of my co-workers are Duke fans[:D] My bust it came from the War of Northern Aggression.

Respectfully,

Gentlemen, congratulations on your victories! It's always nice to be able to visibly see the success of the Army of the Mississippi. In January, we posted victories against every Army in the Union. Six against the AoS, 3 against the AoT, 4 against the AoP and 1 against the AoC. It looks to me like we THUMPED our arch rival the AoS pretty good this month! Why that's a total of 472 victorious turns in January... 249 victorious turns against the AoS alone! I imagine we should be seeing the white flag of surrender from them momentarily... if I haven't missed seeing it already! [;)]

Keep up the fight!

Gentlemen,

I have a couple of AotM Officers to whom I need to award updated AotM Service Awards for time served in the Army of the Mississippi.

FRONT & CENTER

Brig. General Mike Burns

Image

Sir, it is my pleasure to award you an AotM 5 Year Service Ribbon for your time served in the Army of the Mississippi. Does it really seem like you've been in the AotM for 5 years now? Wow, the time flies! Congratulations and thank you for your service! <salute>

FRONT & CENTER

General Roger Hulinsky

Image

Snap into shape, Sir! I hear you've been tormenting those poor helpless Yankee's (again)! [;)]

Warmest Regards,

General Leonidas Polk

General Burns <salute>

Sir, your long service to the Army of the Mississippi is appreciated! Thank you, and may we be honored with another five years.

General Hulinsky <salute>

Sir, your service to the Army of the Mississippi is also appreciated! It is an honor to serve under your command, and I will make every effort to assist tormenting the poor helpless Yankees.

I must point out a most unfortunate happening, however. Nicodemus reports that some Yankee officers have taken to scratching their victories in the outhouses. The most unfortunate part is that both commands seem to be on the short end of the corn cob when it comes to battles with the AotM.

My regards,

Col Neal Hebert

Gentlemen,

The following Officer's have earned AotM Maneuver Citations for maneuver games within the Army of the Mississippi in the month of January.

FRONT & CENTER

Capt Harry Haines

Image

For 09Jun15706.

Lt Col Sascha Marx

Image

For 09Jun15706.

Brig. General Tim Reneau

ImageImage

For 05Oct15706 and 10Jan16494.

Major General David Peek

ImageImage

For 05Oct15706 and 10Jan16494.

I had to laugh when I saw that Brig. General Reneau and Major General Peek (long time friends) had finished up a game they started in the Club almost 5 years ago. We are glad to have both of those fine Officer's back in the Club again! <salute>

Congratulations, gentlemen!
