Post subject: | USA CoA Election |
Officers of the Club: On December 31 of this year, Jef Laub's second term as USA Chief of the Armies will end. I thank him for his contributions and solid participation over the past four years. It is now time to hold an election for a USA CoA for the next two years. The dates for the election have been established as follows: Nominations: Sunday, November 1 - Saturday, November 7 Campaigning: Sunday, November 8 - Saturday, November 14 Voting: Sunday, November 15 - Saturday, November 21 I have appointed Willie Tisdale, Jeff Laub, John Dragan, and myself to a sub-committee of the Cabinet to oversee this election. You can get our email addresses from the Club home page, under the ‘Club Cabinet (Administration)’ link, or interpret them as follows: Willie: TheGrayFox ‘at’ msn ‘dot’ com Jeff: jdlaub ‘at’ msn ‘dot’ com John: draganfly 'at' roadrunner 'dot' com David: DWMallo01 ‘at’ Yahoo ‘dot’ com First, we need to open the floor for nominations. Any candidate must be nominated by two officers from the USA. Candidates for CoA must hold the rank of Lieutenant General or above. To nominate an officer, you must first verify that officer is willing to serve if elected, then send an email to all the Election Committee members listed above from your official club address (as listed in the Department of Records). Please include a ‘cc’ to the officer you are nominating. For CoA, only officers from the same side and holding the rank of Lieutenant General or General may vote. An officer casting a vote must send them to all four of us, again from the officer's email address of record in the Department of Records. If your email address is not current in the Department of Records, now is the time to correct it. If you have any questions, please send them to the four members of the Election Committee. Your humble servant, Gen. ‘Dee Dubya’ Mallory David W. Mallory ACW - General, 3/2/I/AotM (Club President & Cabinet Member) CCC - Lieutenant, Georgia Volunteers, Southern Regional Department, Colonial American Army |

Officers of the Club: There was only one nomination for this position, General D. W. Walter. By the authority granted me by Club Rule 3.3.4.1.7 ("In the event only one candidate has been nominated by the end of the nominating period, that candidate will be elected by acclimation and no vote will be necessary."), I hereby declare General Walter duly elected as CSA Chief of the Armies. His term of office will begin January 1. This will provide transition time. In the meantime, however, please join me in congratulating General Walter on his election. Your humble servant, Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory David W. Mallory ACW - General, 3/2/I/AotM (Club President & Cabinet Member) CCC - Lieutenant, Georgia Volunteers, Southern Regional Department, Colonial American Army |

Gentlemen, I am honored by the trust placed in me by the fine officers who have nominated me for this position. It will be a pleasure to work for the welfare of the club together with the illustrious gentlemen of the cabinet. Above all, however, it will be an honor and a privilege to represent the Union armies of the ACWGC. I have always maintained that in having commanded a Union field army for two years I have had the best this club has to offer. I dare say that commanding the armies of the Union will at least be comparable. Of course I am well aware that the job is also a considerable challenge. I am glad that I will have nearly two months to learn from Jeff. Here's to: the ACWGC, the Union, and big shoes! Gen. Walter, USA The Blue Blitz USA CoA-elect "... and keep moving on." |

General Walter, I am very excited to see you stepping into this role - thank you for your willingness to again serve the Union Army. The big shoes, sir, are more yours than mine! I look forward to where you'll lead this great army in your coming term. Kindest Regards, General Jeff Laub Union Chief of the Army ACWGC Cabinet Member http://laubster22.tripod.com/UnionHQ/ |
