I'm playing my first Getty campaign and the current battle is one called Martinsburg June 14, 1863. Should I be able to find and open that scenario somewhere in the game folder? I noticed the Campaign Gettysburg folder also contains a folder named Campaign that has many scn files. Is there a way to open an play these files? Thanks BG Al Baker 3rd Div II Corps AoG |

Hi, What you can do is copy the file in the campaign area and paste it in the game area. One of the Martinsburg scenarios is 3-44, but there may be a couple others. Essentially, you can copy any scenario in the campaign folder and paste it in the main area, and play it as a stand alone game, but I think the units will all be at full strength, which may skew that scenario's balance. Any scenario file may be opened in any text editor, like NOTEPAD. You may also open the .cpf file in any editor. Once you have it opened, you will be able to see the scenario listed, towards the top of the file. I used to live in Martinsburg at hex 32, 36 approximately. Back in '71. Gasoline station up the hill burnt to the ground that spring. Man did those tires burn forever! It's a beautiful area for anyone who likes to travel. BTW, the rebs stole a couple (score - thanks BOB![:D]) of train engines off the tracks, loaded them onto wagons, and hauled them down to Winchester at the beginning of the war. <font color="beige"><b>Al, It was Stonewall Jackson on June 20, 1861. his men destroyed about 386 railroad cars, torn up track and stole 42 engines owned by the B & O Railroad, they were hauled overland 22 miles to Winchester. He came back a year later and burned the roundhouse complex to the ground. Hauling those locomotives was quite a feat and something you don't hear to much about.
