Gentlemen,

This tourney will be similar to the one from 2007 that the AoA won by a narrow margin http://home.comcast.net/~AoS_USA/AoA_AoS_07.htm

There will be scenarios from various HPS and Battleground games available, 20-40 turns in length, that have been chosen because they appear to be balanced games. The scenarios from the 2007 Tourney will be available along with some new ones from Chancellorsville and Antietam. If you know of any other balanced scenarios send me the information on them and I would be happy to include them. An effort will be made to pair up officers of similar ability within the limits of their available games and I will attempt to assign scenarios so that officers are not playing the same opponents or scenarios that they did in the 2007 tourney.

The plan is to get things set up in December, kick the tourney off the 1st of January and close it out no later than April 30, 2010. Games not completed by then will have their outcomes decided by the army commanders.

I think the best thing would be for you AoA officers to contact Gen Dragan while the AoS officers can contact me. Include a list of the games you have in order of your preference.

You know I'm in Ken. I owe the AoA a little payback! They got me in '07...

Gen Peters,

For the 2007 tourney we canvassed the club and found recomendations for balanced scenarios from several games. I also got a couple of custom scenarios that were used in tourneys at the CWB Forum. You can check the webpage from that tourney at http://home.comcast.net/~AoS_USA/AoA_AoS_07.htm
to see what was used then. We didn't get any complaints from either side so I guess we did alright. Plan to use the same list this time as well as some of the Equal Fight scenarios from C'ville and Antietam. I also plan to check the DoR to try and match up officers with similar records like we did last time so we don't have too many mismatches.

Gen Kunz,

There are actually 4 of these meeting scenarios for BGG, they go in the GB folder of BGG. The recomendation is that they be played blind as they are set up with relatively equal forces and so that neither side knows what the other has and where they are deployed.
