Officers of the Club:

As President of the American Civil War Game Club, it is my great honor and privilege to award the "Legion of Merit" award to General Ernie Sands (USA) and General Don Adams (CSA) for their unselfish devotion to duty and for their continuing efforts in maintaining the Department of Records. This site, including the database and programming behind it, has saved countless hours of administrative work for officers across the club.

Couriers are on their way to Generals Sands and Adams as we speak, to present their awards in person.

Since General Sands is a member of the Cabinet, the discussion and voting was held without his knowledge. It is not customary to exclude a member of the Cabinet from any discussion, but in this case I felt it was warranted. [:D]

Barkeep, drinks are on me in honor of these two fine officers!

Please accept my best congratulations for this most well deserved merit! You are a true gentleman on the battlefield and now you have proven to be as valuable to the club and all of us other fellows just enjoying the fruits of your work. This DOR I must say is an enormous source of information, as I have discovered in the few months I have been in the club. Keep up the good work and I will spare a golden bullet for you on our current battlefied at Gettysburg![:D]
