I have read all the comments below and they may or may not be valid, but we have kicked the tournament off and we should leave it to run it course. Take the learning’s and improve. I highly commend any of our club members who take on running a tournament <salute>.

As for the game I am playing I am 100% certain a Reb will advance to the next round – my opponent is General David Ray - AoG[:D]

<font face="Book Antiqua"><font size="4"><font color="pink">Gents,

Throwing in my two cents worth! Gen Sims has done an outstanding job putting this tournament together and running it, many thanks!

That said, I was really excited to get started and thought the first couple of turns were going pretty good for the Rebs. Then I read some stuff about being outnumbered in the end almost 2 to 1. That has had an effect on my strategy for the rest of the battle.

My only suggestion for consideration would be to make this first round a mirror fight, that is both players switch sides and fight the same scenario again. Then the total points for both battles get added up and a winner declared from each pairing.

Gen Dragan,

Your SUV, isn't a TOYOTA is it [:D]. My wife has an 09 toyota corolla and she called the dealership were we bought it. They told her if she hasn't had any problems yet not to bring it in. UNTIL something happens, wellllllll that may be too late [:(!]

General Kunz,

Don't believe everything you read. You don't have to be outnumbered 2-to-1 at the end of the game, you are allowed to elimiate some of your opponents troops throughout the match, thereby reducing the odds you'll face at the end. [:D]

After weighing all options, the tournament will proceed as was originally designed. The results of the current round one will count and we will proceed to round two in the normal way and at the normal time.

I have a couple of matches that I don't have marked as having started. The player playing as the Union should notify me if the game has started and the Confederate player can notify me if they have not heard from the Union player at this late stage. Either is welcome to remind me of having already told me the status but my Private Gomer did his usual and didn't annotate it correctly.
