General Hooper <salute>

Sir, welcome to your Headquarters! Gator Alley is proud to report that we stand ready to follow your guidon into battle for the glory of the Confederacy and the Army of the Mississippi.

I don't know if you've been introduced to Nicodemus; he's the toothy green fellow in the rocking chair yonder in the corner and requested that I convey his congratulations.

Your humble servant,

Col Neal Hebert

I'm not sure which is more impressive, Neal. That Nicodemus can "sit" in a rocking chair, or that he can "tell" you to do things. Thats one taleneted Gator you have there! I would suggest we set him up on a play date with Mr. Ed but I fear the result might be bloody [:D]

If Mr. Ed serves as a Yankee pack horse he should steer clear; Nicodemus may decide on a snack otherwise.

Colonel Hebert,

An extensive investigation into gators at the highest level the CSA Personnel Division have found that there is a specific allowance for them if they weigh more than 500lbs and they are over 8 feet and 11 inches in length. Does Nicodemus meet or exceed these criteria?

If he does please submit a Gator Rationing Request (CRR Form #G176FFT98) to CSA Logistics Department – on approval you or Nicodemus will be able to draw from stores;

• 1 mule or horse per week
• 1 leg of ham
• 2 boxes of chocolates
• 5 cases of marshmallows
• 23 gallons of grape juice
• 8 x 2lb tins of prunes
Enjoy!!

Nicodemus begs to report that since Gator Alley came into existence (15 Oct 09) there have been the following recognitions:

1 x Samual Cooper Medal of Service
1 x Jefferson Davis Medal of Recognition
1 x AotM Outstanding Division Award
2 x AotM Outstanding Brigade Awards
2 x AotM Citations for Gallantry
2 x AotM Purple Heart Awards

Nicodemus has been a trusted member since I was a brigade commander and is prominent on our Division and Brigade Battle Flags. There is even a requisition form to be used for supply requests for Nicodemus according to the last dispatch from General McOmish.

We request amnesty for Nicodemus from any future gator fries in light of his honorable service.

My regards,

Col Neal Hebert

Requisitioning Chocolate and Marshmallows but not Graham Crackers? Perhaps General McOmish is unfamiliar with S'mores but all three are required for them to be done properly. I will bring the Graham Crackers myself, sir, and we can sit around the campfire tonight telling lies!

Did I ever tell you about the time I outran a Union battalion after one of their patrols found me in a house of ill-repute? Well...

Was it a house of ill-repute before or after you arrived?

I guess that explains where those two missing atrillery horses went during our last encounter Neal. I hope he enjoyed them.[}:)][:D]

Gentlemen!

The new AotM homepage has been released. (Note that it's just version 0.2). It will be improved in the coming weeks and hopefully be up to v. 1.0 before summer.

You find it here:

http://acwgc.org/aotm/index.html

Hope you like it!

It would be good if you could post comments and suggestions here in this thread.

Regards,

Hampus,
The new site looks great... well... as great as Version 0.2 can look, lol! We will still have some more work to do but I think we are on our way finally! All of you come have a sneak peek and be sure to check back later for Version 0.5 or 0.7... and maybe someday 1.0!
