American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

Gentlemen,

Most months are really pretty quiet in the Cabinet chambers - so quiet I had become reticent about note-taking and reporting. (Too bad there are no OBD points allocated to pay for an assistant to the Club President [:(] !)

This past month has been an exception, for sure. Besides the usual approval of some promotions within the general ranks, we have overseen the election of the CSA Chief of the Armies, discussed several proposed procedure and club rule changes, and even dealt with a couple of personnel issues.

On top of that, the CoA's had their hands full assisting their armies find several new places to host web sites when the ones they had been relying on became unavailable. My hat is off to the CoA's, their staffs, and to all the officers of the club who stepped up and helped during what could have easily been a crises if they had not.

I continue to appreciate the members of the Cabinet you have selected to lead this club. They come from all over the planet, with different backgrounds and different experiences. Their insights are invaluable, and it is indeed an honor to serve with them.

I think everyone in the Club did a great job this last month! We successfully moved websites with only a minimal amount of disruption to the Club as a whole. What looked like the start of some feuds in the MDT was quickly put out by cooler heads. There was great participation in the Questions to the Cabinet forum on the MDT and we look forward to the official Club responses to them. There is another proposal on the Cabinet's desk from the AotM and I expect this next month to be another exciting one!

Big thanks to the Cabinet and everyone who kept the websites up this last month! If dialouge, action, and communication was what people wanted... we are on the right track!
