Hi Peeps!

I'm trying to get back into website design . . . m'be I'll start up a page or 2 for the AoG. [:D]

A good few years ago I had a site on Yahoo's 'Geocities' server. The method for designing your site/webpage was very simple. in the design mode, you opened a blank 'page', with a grid background. By right-clicking on the page You inserted a picture file, text box, web link or e-mail address, etc. The Pictures were downloaded from Your HD onto the Server and linked to the page

In the case of pictures and text Boxes, you could re-size them, add whatever text etc. You positioned the pictures etc. by click and drag.

By selecting 'Publish', your finished page was displayed on the server, under Your domain name (minus the positioning grid).

Basically, it was a 'what You see/do on the Page Editor . . is what appears on your web-page.' It was very quick and intuitive. Simple for a Dummy like Me!! [:o)]

Geocities was closed down about 2 years ago.

Does anyone know of a Webhost that utilises a similar system?

I've looked around a bit on the web and all I have found so far is fhp??? sites . . .

Any assistance greatly appreciated. [8D]
