Gentlemen,

After much discussion and review of both of these fine officers applications, we (both Theater Commanders and I) have reached a decision on who should be the next Army Commander for the Army of Georgia.

We have decided on Brig. General Robert Wilson to lead the Army of Georgia. General Wilson take charge immediately. I would ask that General Wilson not to make any major changes towards his goals as he outlined in his application, due to the information that I have been receiving from both non-members and present members.I will be issuing the State of the CSA address soon and I would like for him as well as the other Army Commanders to follow the new plan.

However, General Wilson should be able to make his changes to his staff officers and in the other positions as he deem neccessay.

I would like to thank you both for your fine applications and I am looking forward to working with each one of you.

General Kunz, sir, I would like to thank you for your fine service again for the cause. Please continue your fight for the good of the CSA.

General Baker, please cut new orders for General Wilson as soon as possible.

Again thank you both....

"Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can may revolutionize and make their own of so many of the territory as they inhabit."

I know I sent the new officer a private courier congratulating him but I would like to do so again in public and wish him the best of luck with the AoG! Its not quite the AotM but its good for an Eastern Army.

All the best, sir! Do not hesitate to call on our Army if you need any reinforcements as we have whipped all the Yankees along our front already.

Respectfully,
Col. Blake Strickler
Commandant of VMI
