I am pleased to announce to you all that we have a Great Irish Leader that will be taking charge of our fine new cadets at VMI. I am honored to have Lt. General Patrick "Pat" Carroll of the famous fighting Carroll's , to be heading up our training center.

I am looking forward to great things from General Carroll and his staff in the days to come. I am sure that the fine ladies of Vicksburg will be having a grand feast when the change of command will take place.

I can not wait to get back there and eat some of that cornbread, collargreens, field peas, beef stew and rice and all the other fine food.

Welcome Sir ...to VMI.
