Ok guys a message from Richard please read.

I just discovered that I left out the Campaign Gettysburg-weather.cpd file so I deleted the old zip and uploaded the new zip to the site with the correct file.

Hopefully not too many people had downloaded the last file - they would not be able to play the weather_campaign but they could play all the scenarios. All is fixed now with the new upload.

Please download the new updated file.
Sorry about that.
Frank.

Thanks for updating this Frank!

Guys, this mod reproduces all of the Gettysburg scenarios and the Campaign game with Historical weather patterns. Based mainly on Ken Miller's original variable visibility files but expanded for the historically rainy, misty, and/or muddy days from the Campaign between June 9 and July 14 1863.

The main Gettysburg battles July 1-3 will be dry but with gradual changes of dawn and dusk visibility and some morning and afternoon haze. The readme file explains the historical weather patterns more.

No stock files are changed by this mod, and it's quick and easy to update any of your 3rd party GB scenarios to read the new PDT files with historical weather patterns.

Richard,

Am I to understand that the download preserves all of the HPSCG stock scenarios and adds a complete new set with modified PDT files?!!!

Joe, that's correct. New pdt files, new scenarios, new campaign. Nothing is overwritten, but you would now have twice as many scenarios as before, including the campaign scenarios.

I had to do it this way because the game can't tell if a player has modified his pdt or not. So, both players must have the mod to play and there can be no chance of one player playing with weather and the other not.

Note, I didn't manually edit all the scenarios... I wrote some software that did it for me.

Have to concur with Joe about your outstanding work on these files. Even if he's a Yankee have downloaded and installed already.
