Gentlemen
My compliments to you all.

This strange message comes from a very ole General that havenĀ“t been around for the last 5+ years. Perhaps some remember me and my Ole Horse that was always found in the back of many Taverns. Mostly drinking alone thanks to the smell of that pesky horse. Many have offered me a drink from the spittoon but not even that can be more dangerous then to drink my ole swedish snaps. That has killed many good officers.
The wind might now romoured that this illdressed General once more should try his luck and skills in killing of some of those yanks will hopefully enmpty the Taverns he might visit.

Fellow officer and gentlemen
A very Merry XMas and Happy New Year

Maj.Gen.
Claes Melbro

Former Cavalry Div commander of JacksonĀ“s Corps ANV

General Melbro: It is always a pleasure to welcome back a veteran to his army. I'm sure there are many officers here with whom you served so you should get settled in no time. Besides, the Union Army needs new victims.:)

Buon Natale, that's southern Italian for Merry Christmas. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. America will need it.
