Jeff Laub officially replaces Ernie Sands as one of the Union Cabinet Secretaries today. First allow me to thank Ernie for his long tenure in that position and to wish him the very best as he returns to the Union ranks. Four years in politics has probably left him as out-of-shape as D.W. when he left office but hopefully he will be back in fighting shape soon. Thanks for all your hard work over the years Ernie!

Welcome (back) to Jeff and I look forward to serving more closely with him over the coming years.

Had to catch myself as for a minute I thought the thread title said "Jeff Laub Sworn At" which was something I didn't think was unusual enough to warrant a thread. :-) Welcome to the Cabinet Jeff!

Congratulations to Gen. Laub for his appointment as Cabinet Secretary. I too was thrown by Laub's "swearing" after all, he hasn't been secretary that long! :)
Congratulations are also in order for Gen. Sands for his dedication and faithful prosecution of his duties as Secretary. Now he can relax on the field of battle. :)

Maybe I should choose my title better next time although it seems this one has inadvertantly caused more people to read it than a more simple title :D

My amenities are in disarray what with all of the year-end administrative duties to handle; but I'm glad I got here in time to offer my condolences to General Laub! I know he wouldn't have it any other way!
