I am playing Peninsula game with fixed units....A yank unit is two hexes away.....and the unit is still fixed.....I thought that there was a 5 hex rule....Or am I thnking of an entry hex.....Does anyone know what the game program is set up at.....and why the unit is still fixed with the enemy so close..... I think that specific unit has to have an LOS to the enemy unit doesn't it? |

"Select Alternate Fixed Unit Release to have Fixed units become released whenever an enemy unit comes within 5 hexes of them regardless of the line-of-sight to that enemy unit." |

"Certain units may start a scenario as Fixed. Fixed units may fire and may change formation, may not move until they are Released. This can occur in one of several ways: • Units that are fired upon, or meleed against, are automatically Released. • Depending on the scenario, there may be Releases of Fixed units built into the scenario which will release the units at specified times. • If a Fixed unit is spotted by an enemy unit that is 5 hexes away or closer, then it automatically becomes Released. Note: under the Alternate Fixed Unit Release Optional Rule, the unit does not have to be spotted to be released." |
