American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

Greetings everyone!

Yes I'm new here so I just thought I should take the time to say: "Hello!" to everyone (now that I finally have been granted access). Thanks to everyone who helped to make this work at long last after a somewhat adventurous odyssey worthy of the Greek's heroes legendary journey.

I've been a Civil War fan for a very long time now, have read a score of books, seen most movies and documentaries and - apart from the HPS games - I own most of the other titles used here. Still most of these games had a tendency to bore me - some sooner some later - as in my humble opinion there's so much more to this historic period than what is offered by any of these games. I'd be interested to hear about your preferences - whether it's finding opponents for PC games you own or if it's about talking about this historic period, or if it is the RP aspect that you are looking for, or if is something else that has drawn you here.

Greetings Gentlemen, thank you for the welcome on the forum. I'm afraid I was under the impression that this is more of an OOC area, is it not? Hence my reluctance to make any IC posting as I don't really like to mix OOC and IC matters (because this has a tendency to result in all sorts of problems). Anyway to answer your question about the "side" I have joined - as that seems indeed to be your main concern - I've signed up with the CSA side.
