After due review and consideration the congress of these Confederate States of America have unanimously approved and confirmed the following General Officer promotions for January 1862 Colonel Mark Davis - OC 3rd Division, II Corps of the fine Army of the Mississippi - Promoted to Brigadier General Major General Owen Evans- OC III Corps (Cavalry) of the fine Army of the Mississippi - Promoted to Lieutenant General Well done Gentlemen <Salute> For those who wish to celibrate with the newly promoted officers there will be a small informal gathering at the AotM bar, where I shall put down 100 pieces of GOLD - so we can all have a fine knees up - YANKS welcome |
