I have been known to cuss during an especially nasty replay or an unexpected defense fire or melee result and yes I have gone to bed, turn uncompleted, thoughts of possible moves shuffling through my head...perchance to dream, to sleep on it.

Least now I know I’m not alone in many of these particular habits. Course I am never alone when fighting these battles as my trusted chief of staff cat, Bubba is always in his chair next to me, napping or looking for an ear or belly scratched. Most of the time he wants nothing to do with me or anybody else for that matter but as soon as I set down at the computer he comes and jumps into his chair where he stays till I finish.

I am glad I am not alone about thinking of moves . I am usually up until about 2:00 AM (it is 1:40 AM ,now), so am playing games just before sleep time. I do think of some battles as I go to sleep and run over the map in my mind.

ALSO, my cat, Buttons, quite often is sitting on the back of my chair, dozing or sometimes offering critiques of my play. Sometimes she will get down and try to walk over my keyboard to her second favorite comfort zone, right in front of my monitor. This does make it hard to see the map. After I put her on the floor, she will start yelling at me to go to bed!!!

Well, I see someone has just sent me a turn, so I have time for ONE more!!

If I'm playing in the evening I'll occasionally sip at a glass of bourbon or Irish whiskey, but I don't like a greasy mouse or food crumbs on the keyboard so I tend not to eat whilst on the pc...except maybe a small piece of dark chocolate which I find aids concentration  . I do replay the turns in my head when I'm in bed, and ponder on the strategic and tactical situations of my games.

I now realize my problem!!

I need to promote my cat Harry to chief of staff, and sack my current cheif of staff - a 1 year old brittany named Jordan.

Thank you for the helpful hints.

I have two cats vying for the chief of staff position, Velvet and Cinders. However, I suspect the gray one (Cinders) of conspiring against my cause.

Fred, the General Chief of Staff, half Coon hound half Pit bull, rescue from South Carolina, helps rally my Rebs after a blistering melee from that horrific Blue Tsunami Wave...He's a life saver lol

Gents.

I tend to play thru' Suppertime . . . so I usually take a break and partake of a 'Dagwood'.

Anyone brave enough to 'display' their "ancientness" and admit that they know what a Dagwood is?

Pat.

P.S. - General Barlow Suh! You bein' a nice Northern Lad and 'Born in a Northern Town' amaze me with your lack of knowledge Suh! The way to avoid a "greasy mouse" should be well known to Yuh!

Just use 'Crisp 'n' Dry' when cookin' him !!!!!!!!  :D

I start playing my turns after work. If it is not too late, I like to sip a coffee while eating a piece of chocolate, and take my time...
