A friend of mine - whom I haven't spoken to in months rang me today . . . completely out of the Blue . . . .
It was only AFTER the phone call that I realised I'm not as 'quick' as I useta be . . . .
Friend: "I'm just back from a Year in Australia" . . .
Pat: "Really? What were Ye doin' over there?"
Friend: "Learning the Aboriginal Language. I'm quite fluent at it now."
Pat: "G'way! Getoutta that! Really? Say something to me in . . . erm . . . aborigin . . ish(????). "
Friend: "Boo!"
Pat: " What?".
Friend: "Boo!"
Pat: " What?" Are You acting the eejit? Or is Boo an aboriginal word/phrase/sentence . . . or what?"
Friend: " Boo is Their word for 'Return' or m'be 'Returning' ".
Pat: " Wow! That's pretty cool eh? One syllable to get across a fairly complex concept. Smart Fellas . . eh?"
Friend. " Yeah . . . . . You try throwing an ordinary meringue! "
AND he hung up on Me!!!!
