It appears that the membership does not always think that a vote is necessary. Currently the membership vote is part of the process for all club changes. The question is should the Cabinet only request a membership vote on issues that the Cabinet deems important enough? Please note that this is a personal poll as an ACWGC member not for or by the Cabinet This is just a poll. Regards, General Pierre D. |

In my opinion, the membership should have the vote on matters AFTER the CABINET has debated, voted on and have deemed of sufficient merit to have the general membership vote on the matter. I think the Cabinet is a clearinghouse for ideas, new methods, better this and better that. The process can begin within the cabinet OR it may begin with ANY MEMBER presenting their idea(s) for cabinet discussion. I think it is a healthy and beneficial process for the well being of the club and members. |
