Recently my PC was in the hospital tent; the sawbones amputated my Windows XP system and fitted a prosthetic Windows - I think he said Windows 10. Anyway, the new Windows does not support Winhelp, which means the F2 parameter data is no longer accessible. This is only a problem when my UMA cadets ask about it. Any ideas on how to access the parameter data? I remain, gentlemen, your humble and obt serv't Ian Miller 4/3/XV AoT |

Hi, It is possible you have a different setup in the UK than here. I have Windows 7, which I think is the latest version in the USA. I can't get help files, but I can get the parameter data OK. I downloaded a program from Microsoft that was supposed to help me access the help files, but still can't get them. Anyway, here is where I downloaded from. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... IA5Q%3d%3d |

In my Windows 7 system, I can read both the older .HLP files and the newer .PDF help files. Newer games and those recently upgraded have PDF files for the various help files, AFAIK. |

Windows 7 doesn't come with a viewer for .hlp files but you can download one from: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=91 You may need to register the executable with a the file associations to .hlp to make it automatically work. |
