Gentlemen <salute>

I have the honour and privilege of confirming the following promotions:

Major General Allan Hovey, officer commanding Hovey's Flying Artillery (Horse) 3rd Cavalry Division, II Corps, Army of Alabama, (also the CoS for the Army of Alabama and the CoS Western Theater) to Lieutenant General.

Major General Mark Davis, officer commanding the 6th Division, Army of the Mississippi, (also ex CoS Western Theater)to Lieutenant General.

Colonel Donald Vandergriff, officer commanding the 7th Brigade of the 3rd Division, Army of the Mississippi, to Brigadier General.

Major General Bruce Klem, officer commanding the I Corps, Army of Alabama, to Lieutenant General. .

I have every expectation that these fine officers will each be putting on some sort of social function, where drinking to excess will be encourged.

Three more Lieutenant Generals?!

The Executive Washroom is already frequently low on toilet paper as it is! Thursday, last, I actually had to borrow a Captain's dress jacket when I was left high and dry in one of the stalls.

Our new CoA should look to the situation and expand our Washroom and "Gentlmen's Club's" accordingly. The three females to every male ratio is dropping too quickly for my taste.
