I wonder if it is the same film I reported on in a post sometime back. It had no actors but was a narration of the battle showing the exact spots and monuments. I caught it after it started so I missed the credits. The battlefield was quite pristine without any evidence of modern times around it. It is worth watching.

I believe it is the same film that you referenced last year. When I saw the TV listing thats the first thing I thought of actually.

Is it sad that everytime I watch the movie Gettysburg or a documentary on the battle I still hope the Rebs will break the Union center? I can keep hoping! ... We Chicago Cub fans love to hope for the impossible

That's why the Civil War is so fascinating even now. We Yanks are waiting for you Rebs trying to make it to the Clump of Trees. :) There are so many what ifs that could have changed the outcome: Ewell taking Culp's Hill, Chamberlain losing Little Round Top, etc. The Battle of Gettysburg had to be a Union victory yet the outcome was never a forgone conclusion until the 3rd day.

That short film is a special feature on my DVD copy of Gettysburg. Have watched it a couple of times. Not bad.
