Just starting a go at the massive Peninsula hypothetical "McDowell arrives" as a manuever match. I'm taking the Rebs and I chose to play the 8e version which has Jackson arrive South of the Chickahominy.

Now, the 8d version, which has the Stonewall arrive North of the river (as per history) also features BG. L O'Brien Branch's Brigade arrive as a reinforcement as part of A.P Hill's Light Division.

However on the 8e version it appears to just not be present. That's 2500 men missing. How many Rebs have missed them before and is there some explanation? It's not often I have to defend any aspect of the Reb command but I'm wishing that thing's were different already ...and we haven't even begun yet!

I will be asking HPS if they can offer a reason why but I thought it would be worth raising here.

Oh Joe ...you've warned me that before over something else? Being a gentleman of honour I would never seek to gain unfair advantage over any opponent by any means. I can't believe I'm the only one to notice it?

Gen. Meyer may have been a "Pinkerton man" previously.

That's OK, Jim! We've plenty more secrets to keep us going. Make sure that you let us know if HPS responds on this point, as I would like to know, too! It may very well be that designer Andrew Wagenhoffer intentionally modified the Rebel OOB in the 8e version, something he would be quite capable of doing since these are both "What-If" scenarios! Or it could have been a simple oversight.
